The death of baby Peter makes any mother or human being cringe

I can’t read stories like these – as a mother, as a human being – or I wish I couldn’t; I wish there were no stories like this one: a mother, a step-dad, and his brother in England were all sentenced to prison for having tortured a 17 months old baby to death. When the boy was found dead in his crib, he had over 50 injuries to his body, including a broken backbone, broken ribs, skull fractures, and no nails. When the police came to the home, they didn’t find one single piece of the boy’s clothing that didn’t have blood on it. Read – or don’t read – about it here, or here.

Thanks for the blog. I am scheduled to join AUC this year - 2009.

I selected Rehab/Rijab. I want to buy several air purifiers in Cairo. Do you have a suggested electronics store?

I see most people have a washer, but not a dryer. Why is that?

Thanks.

I don't understand how he was not taken away and put in a decent home the first time they found multiple bruises on him; and I don't understand why the mother didn't give him up for adoption if she didn't have a nuturing bone in her body. Its sickening.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
