Our break is over!
The AUC deadline for submitting final grades was luckily extended this year, so Courtney was not only able to recover from his cold, but also allowed himself to take a couple of days and properly celebrate Christmas with the boys & me. I too took a couple of days off, where I’ve didn’t do any laundry, didn’t feel like I had to educate the boys every minute of the day or even keep them busy, didn’t deal with groceries, sports, excessive housework or any other weekly chores I’m usually busy with. We slept a lot, watched television or played Playstation II, ate good food, read books, played games and hung out. It was really nice not to have any obligations. Today, however, the grading started, as did the washer and the vacuum cleaner, and I went shopping. There are things that need to be dealt with, friends to meet, work to be done, and stuff that has to be sorted out. Back to work!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
