A couple of Christmas Day 2008 pictures

This first picture is from around 6:30 am. Not once since we got back from the US this fall have the boys woken up before 7:30 am - they usually sleep until 8 am, but on Christmas morning, they woke up early: "Look mama! Santa came while we were asleep!"

We opened a few presents, took a break to have breakfast, and then slowly made our way through the rest of the presents. It was a very nice, relaxed morning.

The very last present was August's Playstation II - he opened the games first; by the time he got to the actual box, I think he knew that his letters to Santa might actually have been heard. In this picture you can also see William's Megatron transformer (grey). We're still trying to figure out how to turn it into a plane according to the instructions. Unfortunately, nobody in our family has a doctorate degree in space engineering (at least not yet) and I fear we will never be able to solve this problem.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
