On making a bat costume in Cairo, Egypt
With only three days left until Halloween, I still have a bat costume to make. A quick internet search tells me 
it’s really, really easy; you simply take a black umbrella… And on that it falls. I’m sure there are umbrellas to be found in Egypt – somewhere – because money can buy anything here, but it would take effort, time and well -- money to get one, and those are things I don’t have a lot of these days, particularly not the latter. So I’m trying to figure something else out; like trying to convince William to choose a different costume.
Do you think really large pieces of black paper would work? He wants the wings to “stand out behind him.” (See his very detailed pattern picture)
