It took us a couple of days, but with the unpacking done and feeling like we have resettled into our apartment, we ventured out of our home today. We went over to some friends’ house for drinks, I went to sign up the boys for Taekwondo, and then we went to the Maadi House for a snack and a swim. It was nice to meet everyone again, and we got to reveal our exciting news and receive instant ‘congratulations’.
That’s right, you might not have heard. We have not e-mailed a lot of people or announced our news over the World Wide Web because we had the opportunity to tell people as we encountered them on our trip (and upon our return), and it’s really more fun to deliver this kind of news in person. Now we’re back, however, and a lot of people already know, so here it is: We’re expecting! Baby number three will arrive sometime at the beginning of February 2009. We’re very excited!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Jennifer! I am so excited for you and your family. What wonderful news. I would ask on the Cairo Scholars' email list for Ob/gyns. If you google "cairo scholars" it should come up for you. I also have a spreadsheet that I will send to you. It's a bit old but had some ob/gyn recommendations.
