This weekend we said 'good bye' to two more families leaving Cairo - Maadi for the summer, and now very few friend of the boys remain, none which they play with regularly. Luckily we’re leaving soon too, or I think the boys would drive me crazy with their complaining “We want to play with someone. There’s nobody left to play with!”
Tonight, to top things off, Courtney is going to Ankara, Turkey for a conference, and will not be back until Saturday.
We certainly keep busy, the boys & I, with a couple of hours of schoolwork every day, and then swimming, play and running at the CAC, reading and movies, but I can see that life gets a little one sided doing everything with just mama and your brother all day, every day. As I mentioned though, in 12 days we’re in for a big change, and our 60-day trip will hopefully provide the boys with enough stimulation and social exchange to make up for these quiet couple of weeks. I know I’m in for treat as well, and look forward to spending time with family of all ages.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
