Weather and seasonal changes: it's spring in Egypt

During the first week of December last year I took my flip-flops off, put them away and started wearing shoes with socks. Today, exactly three months later, I got my flip-flops out again and put my shoes away. Winter, if you can really call it that, is over. It never got really cold – it stayed above 5 or 8 degrees Celsius even during the nights - but it did rain probably about 10 days altogether, and we wore out light Belgian summer coats a couple of times. Today the air and the sun are different though, and the warmth is definitely here to stay.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
