Satellite television from Carrefour
These past few days have been the kind of days when I loose track of time; I’ll think it’s Saturday when in fact it’s Monday, and I didn’t realize that we’ve already hit September until yesterday.
I simply can’t shake off the feeling of being on holiday.
We spent a large part of Saturday looking after our neighbor baby Adam, and then made a very frustrating first trip out to Carrefour. It’s a 20-minute drive from our house, and it was absolutely packed. We could not even get a cart, and spent most of 2 hours trying to get through crowds. Frustrated, yet enticed by the giant
selection, we decided to come back the next day, Sunday, which is a working day here in Egypt. A good decision, it turned out, and the boys were able to take full advantage of the game court, which is a small Kermis next to the food court. Our purchase of the day was a 29-inch television set along with a subscription to the Orbit satellite TV super MEGA package. After a long debate we had come to the conclusion that, having never been the position before where we actually had the possibility of access to television like this, and seeing that once we move somewhere else we probably won’t afford television like this else, this was our chance to experience a full satellite super MEGA package. Greetings, World Series! Welcome to our living room in Cairo, Egypt.
Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
