Felucca ride on the Nile
Today we went on a boat, a Felucca, picnic ride on the Nile, organized by the
university. We had good food, picnic -style, the kids played and jumped to their
parents' (or at least some of the parents') dismay between the two boats that were tied together, and people hung out and chatted as the sun set behind palmtrees and buildings.
“There is not a country that possesses so many wonders" (Herodotus ca. 450BC)
They say the Nile sunset owes its beauty to pullution, but whatever it is, it's simply amazing, and I keep thinking that the twist of fate that brought us here, has been a fortunate one indeed.
Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
