Karl-Abraham, one year old!

Yesterday we celebrated Abraham’s first birthday. I still can’t believe it has been a whole year since he was born. We’ve been enjoying him so much, all of us, that time has truly gone by really fast.

We threw a small party for Abraham in the evening, inviting the people in our building – the kids he loves to play with the most – and one other family. We served antipasti, pasta salad, tapenade, bread, snacks, treats, and drinks, and the chocolate cake that never fails. Abraham had a whole big piece and loved it! He also loved every minute of the party, and along with the walk in the desert in the morning, he had the best first birthday ever!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
