The cutest baby in the world!

Usually while the boys have Taekwondo, Courtney & I play tennis at the Maadi House. Occasionally though, he has to go in to work on these days, and I’m left to do whatever during the less-than-an-hour between drop-off and pick-up. Usually I would take Abraham to the pool, because he loves the water so much. These past few weeks though, it has been too cold (in my opinion), not in the water, but when you get out of the water. So instead I’ve been taking him to the Maadi House playground for a play in the sand, while I read and have a beer. He’s such a great baby; he can sit and play by himself the whole time (if I would let him – usually I can’t stay away because he’s so cute), and usually other children end up playing around him. He’s like a kids-sponge. He’ll very patiently pick up sand with his fist, most of it falling off as soon as he picks it up, put (whatever is left) it in his shovel, and then bend over to pick up more sand. His shovel is perpetually empty, because as soon as he leans over to pick up more sand, his shovel empties without his knowledge. He loves this game though, almost as much as watching the kids around him play. Occasionally he’ll put down his shovel and sand to wave at me, with a big smile on his face. “Hi mama! I can see that you’re here watching me, and I want you to know that I’m having a blast! I love you!” And then he’ll get right back to his sand play. No matter what I bring to read, write, or do, I end up spending most of my time watching him. Not because I need to, but because I can’t help to. He’s SO cute, so lovable, so great!
Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
