Homeschoolers' craft day in Maadi, Cairo; felt- and pottery making

Today we went to a felt-making and pottery craft day organized by a fellow homeschooling mother here in Maadi. The boys had a great time; hung out with other homeschooling kids, made juggling balls and a bracelet out of lamb- and camel fur (at our friend's house), had kochery for lunch, and created beautiful artifacts out of clay (at a craft school in New Maadi). It was a great day.

Thanks for the email. I joined the google group and have been following along on the plans for the science fair and saw that this craft day was in the works. It was fun to see pictures of some of the kids. I am leaning even further toward homeschooling in Egypt so knowing there's a support group there is so helpful to me (who never even considered homeschooling til a month ago). Thanks for your offer of help to answer questions. I'll either post to the group or directly to you if I think it's something only you could answer for me. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer. We are an American homeschooling family of 10 who lived in the Middle East for 3 years. We are now back in Kentucky but considering a move to Egypt. Could we communicate via email? Also, if you know of Christian families that homeschool in Egypt, can you pass our email address on to them also? Thanks!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
