We live in a country where most people say it’s the year 1430, some people claim it’s the year 1724, and yet another group of people maintain it’s the year 2009. For most, New Year’s Day is on a different day every year, for others it’s always on the 29th of August (unless it’s a leap year, and then New Year’s Day is on the 30th of August), and for yet some, New Year’s Day is always on the 1st of January. Depending on who you ask, the year has either 12 or 13 months.
I wonder what year it will say on our baby’s birth certificate; 9 Safar 1430? He’d be very popular among his peers when at the age where beer is sought after but nobody has a legitimate ID for purchase. “Hey, look mister! Our friend here was born in 1430 – If that's not "of age" then I don't know what is!”

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
