Let's talk about the weather - again; it's so nice all the time I just can't leave it alone
I really didn’t realize that the weather would be such a big change for us, but as it turns out, we can’t stop talking about it; it’s nice here all the time, and we just can’t help but marvel. Having heard though, that it’s not hot all year around, we’ve asked people that have been here for a while about the winter, worrying since we didn’t really bring any, in our eyes, proper winter clothes. At the same time, in light of the fantastic weather, so far, we find ourselves doubting that it actually can get cold here; it’s the end of October, and it’s 98ºF today (37ºC)! “Oh, it does get cold here, you wait and see!” the veterans tell us. We're still suspicious though, especially in light of the fact that cited veterans are from California. I guess we will find out eventually, but in the meantime, I’ll be enjoying the weather!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Don’t worry – it doesn’t get that cold, especially if you’re used to Belgian winters! If I remember correctly in Cairo it doesn’t go much below about 10°C/50°F, and that’s only at night or early morning. During the day it will still hit the mid to high teens.
