Prof. Husband bought a new camera in Italy

Courtney came home with a new camera from Italy. It's a much more advanced Canon than we've ever had, and it took me a while to figure out how to make sure Abraham wasn't a big blur in all the pictures. Eventually I hit the right setting: "party mode." That's what it's called. If people are in your picture and they can't ever be still, you choose "party mode." How fitting!

Another interesting feature shows it's so obviously a camera sold in Europe: the user guide came in five different languages, but none of them was English. Between German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch, I picked the last one, which was just as fine as any.

Below you find a couple of my favorites of the test pictures we took when Courtney got home. What do you think?

It's really nice how it catches the light. Professional quality indeed.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
