William is a very inquisitive young man, who never stops asking questions or thinking about matters. Here’s an extract of comments/questions that have come out of his little mouth over the past few days:
“Mama, what’s a step-father?” [He is watching Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull]
“It’s a mother’s husband, sort of; if mama was married to someone that wasn’t your dad, that man would be your step-dad. It’s like a step-in dad.”
“Do I have a step-dad?”
A few weeks ago, Courtney got this question, just out of the blue:
“Daddy, if people had legs like a chicken, would they be able to stand on a cactus then?” whereupon he quickly lost himself in thought, “I guess it would have to be a strong cactus.”
Here’s another recent one:
“Mama, when we live in Indiana, is daddy going to learn how to drive a car?” immediately followed by “Can I ride with you then?”
The other day I felt I had to excuse him, because he was showering a man we interacted with but don’t know at all with questions about his business. The man looked very intrigued and said to William “You ask a lot of questions? You’re going to be a very wise young man one day!”
If only he would be patient enough to hear the answers…

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

it's good to ask questions ;O) even if it lasts whole day round :O)
I love it when kids ask questions like that. There's no such thing as a silly question. :)
