We're having a baby tomorrow!

So that’s it. My mother arrived on Sunday, and over this past week I’ve been busy finishing stuff for work, getting the next few days planned out, and feeling excited but antsy. I’m usually extremely organized and on top of things, but today especially; practically the whole day has gone by and I’ve done very little. My bag is not packed, I’m still working on laundry, and I’ve felt very tired most of the day. I was supposed to sleep in – just because it’s my last chance to do so for the next, say, year - but early this morning were not only the boys making a lot of noise, but our phone started ringing. People wanting to make sure I was all right, asking if I need anything – very well meaning friends.

I am all set, pretty much I guess, though. So please say a prayer or send me a thought, because regardless of what I end up doing tonight, or no matter what I put in my bag or if the laundry is done, I’ll be having a baby tomorrow. I can’t wait!

best wishes for a quick delivery and a beautiful baby!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
