Mission accomplished; I have a new passport at last!

Yesterday, my passport saga finally had a happy ending. Without incidence, I took the boys with me to Zamalek, picked up my new passport, and returned safely to Maadi; all within three and a half hours.

I don’t look very good in the picture, but actually nobody seems to look good in this particular type of passport picture (taken at the embassy). August and William both look evil (when we first saw August's picture, the movie The Omen came to mind); it's a black and white photo, the contrasts are very strong, and you have to stare straight into the camera and look serious. Who looks nice like that? Although really; who cares? my new passport is valid and intact! Now all I need is my Egyptian VISA transferred from my old passport to my new one, and I’m as good as legal again.

Count your blessings for a good passport photo. Mine was so bad the guards at the High Commission handed it around laughing at me. Oh yeah - it was *that* bad. LOL

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
