Homeschooling get-together in Cairo, Egypt
Today I attended a meeting in Al Rehab for homeschooling mothers in the Cairo area. Not very many mothers were able to make it, but we still managed to have some very nice, encouraging discussions, as well as planned a few upcoming activities. Even though we all come from vastly different religious and cultural backgrounds, and even countries, we all share – granted, for different reasons, but still – a passion, or at least an interest, and belief in home schooling, and it’s very nice to listen to all the different perspectives and experiences women and families have.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

A get together like that sounds like a great idea. In addition to getting support from other women who are doing the same thing, its a great way to get new ideas and teaching methods. Bravo to whomever thought to do it! :)
