Back online, back in the New World, back together

It has been a little over three weeks since my last blog post. After a long period without internet access, we’ve finally arrived safely in the US. These first days have been spent in an American cultural state of shock or – perhaps bliss, rather. We’ve done everything from family BBQs and mall strolls, to a movie visit and Taco Bell lunch. It’s almost surreal to be back here. Some things have changed a little; stores have disappeared and been replaced, the folks live in a new house, but overall it’s not much different from the way we remember it five years ago.

I’ve got so much to share – our Sweden visit was amazing – and I will slowly but steadily catch up with yo’all, but first things first: tonight I’m having chili and cornbread, and then I’m going to sit outside in the yard and smell the rain.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
