Catching up on blogs I read on a regular basis, I noticed that my friend Ms. Four has tagged me, and as this is my first blog tag ever, I’m readily responding.
The rules:
*Post 10 random things about yourself
*Choose 5 people to tag and a reason you chose each person
*Leave them each a comment directing them to your blog so they know they are it
*You can’t tag the person who tagged you (you’ll have to make new friends)
*As a courtesy to the person who tagged you, please let them know when you have posted so they can have the sheer delight and extra work load of reading your answers)
1. I was born in the 1970’s in a hospital in Lidkoping, Sweden. My heart was barely beating. Since it was the 1970’s, the doctor slapped me and I got myself together.
2. As a teenager I played soccer in the Swedish national league – midfield – and I was good!
3. I also played badminton on a national level and was sad I had to quit after my ligaments gave in on Mont Blanc in France in 1996.
4. For a living, one of my brothers designs complicated communication devices for the defense industry. It’s one of the most profitable industries in the world.
5. In 2001 I returned to climb Mont Blanc in France. I was 8 months pregnant with my first son.
6. I still miss my dad. He died right before I turned 21 and was buried on my birthday.
7. In the year 2000 I got to meet the king of Sweden (I was an EU lobbyist working for a very influential company).
8. My husband & I began this new millennium listening to Pope John Paul II’s speech at the Vatican in Rome, Italy. It was an amazing experience!
9. I am fluent in Dutch and miss speaking it on an everyday basis.
10. I still think that one day I will finish my doctorate.
Now, since I don’t have that many blog friends, I’m going to have to select the following tags based on random reasoning:
Francis Strand because he was my first blog inspiration (and still is!).
Jack because we feel the same about pork.
Johannes Lundin because he keeps up with the world like I wish I could.
Sankablog because she’s so funny and keeps my husband with lunch.
Renee because I miss her.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Thank you for the tag -- the reason you gave for choosing me was a huge compliment. I also learned a lot of new things about you from your tag post. Kudos on 10, and believe me it will happen. I only started mine when I was already in my 30s...
This is my courtesy note ... to give you the extra work of seeing my taglines. Enjoy
;)
