We're oh so busy even though we're still officially on Christmas break!

This is just a short note to let all you loyal blog readers know that I am doing very well. I have had, or rather still have, the pleasure of working as Editor for The Cynthia Nelson Institute for Gender and Women's Studies’ journal ‘Surfacing’, and this week is one of deadlines. Add Courtney's conference paper deadline, August's fever, the beginning of a new semester, and you might understand that January so far has been quite hectic for the Fugates in Cairo. Hence, paid work (mainly) is keeping me from blogging, however towards the end of this week things should calm down a bit, and I will once again delight in sharing my daily life in Egypt with you.

May I also take this opportunity to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of you who have commented on my posts and let me know that you are reading my blog. I appreciate it dearly!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
