Bowling at the Bandar Mall in New Maadi

On Friday we went bowling at the Bandar Mall in New Maadi. It cost 136 EGP for 2 games, and we were all, except for William, pretty awful. I was never great at bowling, and it was fun but very hot, and the ball kept slipping off my fingers. We just couldn’t figure out how William did it; the bowling ball was way too heavy for him, he had no idea where to roll or how. He couldn’t even get the name of the game down right; he kept calling it “rolling ball”. Yet somehow, by some mysterious force, he kept hitting the pins.

After the game we decided to have dinner at Chili’s, situated in the same mall. We quickly changed out minds however, when we noticed that the prices were triple the prices of most other restaurants in Maadi, and when we were told that there was a waiting line to enter the restaurant. This was a regular Chili’s mind you, 5 pm on a Friday night. We got in a cab and went to our favorite Chinese restaurant a block from our house instead. Five perfumes beef to our rescue!

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
