An aromatic experience at Carrefour

We used to shop at Carrefour in Belgium, and some of the products at Carrefour here in Egypt are the same, like the No. 1 brand; in general, we recognize a lot of products. There are, however, a few notable differences, such as the produce section, where you not only will find fresh fruit and vegetables, but also huge casks filled to the brim with cocoa powder, ground cumin, pepper corns, bay leaves, clove, nutmeg and a dozen other spices, dried mangoes, apricots, roasted cashew nuts, pistachios, walnuts and peanuts; a very pungent part of the grocery store indeed. It makes shopping more of an experience than anywhere I’ve been.

Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
